Gamelink is an adult entertainment retail and video-on-demand (VOD) provider. With over 70,000 titles available ‘on demand’, they are one of the largest VOD platforms in the US. Facing increasing competition, GameLink wanted to develop a new product line that would combat customer attrition and create inherent loyalty in users. In 2009, Stream to Own was developed to give customers a lifetime streaming license.
Where other adult VOD websites rented streaming movies for 48 hours to 7 days, Gamelink Stream to Own was created to allow active customers* to build a video library that exists in the cloud and from which they could stream their movies for life. With this product, Gamelink became the first adult or mainstream VOD provider to offer a lifetime streaming license where customers could own their streaming movies at no extra cost.
As business owner of this new product line, I was involved from development through launch and marketing.
Pre-launch activities included:

- Daily SCRUM meetings
- Create trademarking recommendations
Launch activities included:
- On-site promotions and landing page approval
- Wrote and distributed press releases and followed up with media resulting in online and print

- Developed a contest promotion in conjunction with a leading studio to give away a ‘fully loaded’
